P\u00e1rnick\u00fd, Krajinka (A Country) by M. \u0160ul\u00edk, Krut\u00e9 \nradosti (Cruel Pleasures) by J. Nvota, D\u00e9moni (Demons) by R. \u0160veda, \nNedodr\u017ean\u00fd s\u013eub (Broken Promise) by J. Chlumsk\u00fd and the currently \nin-development Slovak-Hungarian movie Marhu\u013eov\u00fd ostrov (Apricot Island) \nby P. Bebjak.  He received an  IGRIC award from the Literary Fund for \nbest actor in a main role in the student film \u010eal\u0161ie dejstvo – K\u00f6vetkez\u00f6\n felvon\u00e1s (Another Act) by Mari\u00e1n Prikler.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Polish theatre and film star  Robert Wi\u0119ckiewicz<\/strong>\n made his debut in the film Samowolka (A.W.O.L.) and has rapidly added \nmany other titles to his list in the past few years. He appeared, for \nexample in the following films: Psy II (Pigs 2), Ogniem i mieczem (With \nFire and Sword), Vinci, Gwiezdne jaja (Dreamship Surprise), Solidarno\u015b\u0107 \u2013\n Solidarno\u015b\u0107, Poludnie – P\u00f3lnoc (South by North), Francuski numer (The \nFrench Trick), Odwr\u00f3ceni (Undercover, TV series), \u015awiadek koronny \n(State\u2019s Evidence),  Grom, Jahodov\u00e9 v\u00edno (Strawberry Wine), Wszystko \nb\u0119dzie dobrze (Everything will be OK), Zero, Zwerbowana mi\u0142o\u015b\u0107 (Enforced\n Love), Lejdis and others. In addition to viewers, film critics have \nalso taken notice of his acting talent.  Thanks to this, he has already \nreceived several awards.  Among the latest are Best Polish Actor 2007 at\n the International Film Festival in Gdansk, Best Actor at IFF Festroia \nSet\u00fabal and the Orol Polish National Film Award.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jevgenij Libez\u0148uk  is a member of the Alexander \nDuchnovi\u010d Theatre in Pre\u0161ov.  He has appeared in the following films and\n television programs in minor roles: Anjel milosrdenstva (Angel of \nMercy) (M. Luther), D\u00edky za ka\u017ed\u00e9 nov\u00e9 r\u00e1no (Thanks for Every New \nMorning) (M. \u0160teindler), Fragmenty z malomesta (Small Town Fragments) \n(P. Mikul\u00edk), \u010cetnick\u00e9 humoresky (Policeman\u00b4s Humoresque)(A. Moskalyk), \n\u017delary (O. Trojan), N\u00e1vrat Bocianov (Return of the Storks) (M. Repka) \nand Tango s kom\u00e1rmi (Tango with Mosquitoes)(M. Luther). In the theatre \nhe has performed outstandingly in main character roles, as illustrated \nby his nomination for a Dosky Award for best actor and the Jozef Kr\u00f3ner \nAward for 2007 for the role of Gogol\u2019s Chlestakov. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jarom\u00edr Hanzl\u00edk<\/strong> \u2013 train driver Smejkal<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He first appeared in the film Takov\u00e1 lo\u010f (A Ship \nlike That), where he played a disobedient boy. Despite not having \nstudied acting, he was hired by the Vinohradsk\u00e9 Theatre  (Divadlo na \nVinohradech)   at the age of 18 and was a star actor from the 1960s \nthrough the 1980s. He has acted in tens of films, television programs \nand series.  He became famous through his work in such films as: Romance\n pro k\u0159\u00eddlovku  (Romance for Bugle)(O. V\u00e1vra), L\u00e9to s kovbojem (Summer \nwith a Cowboy) (I. Nov\u00e1k), Post\u0159i\u017einy (J. Menzel), Slavnosti sn\u011b\u017eenek \n(The Snowdrop  Festival)(J. Menzel) and in the TV series Sanitka (The \nAmbulance), Nemocnice na kraji m\u011bsta (Hospital at the End of the City) \nand Cirkus Humberto, as well as My v\u0161ichni \u0161kolou povinn\u00ed (School and \nUs). He ended his acting career in 1993 and lives in Bern, Switzerland.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Juraj Nvota<\/strong> \u2013 Mayor<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A main director at the Astorka \u2013 Korzo \u201990 theatre, \nhe has recently concentrated on directing for television and film.  His \nTV films include: Pr\u00e1\u0161ky na spanie (Sleeping pills), Priate\u013estv\u00e1 \npadaj\u00faceho l\u00edstia (Fallen Leaves Bonds) and Sle\u010dna Du\u0161ehojiv\u00e1 (Miss \nLonelyhearts). In 2002 he directed Krut\u00e9 radosti (Cruel Joys) and most \nrecently the successful adaptation of the novella by Peter Pi\u0161tanek, \nMuzika (Music). Juraj Nvota is, however, also a favorite actor for his \nfriends who are directors.  He has appeared in Du\u0161an Han\u00e1k\u2019s films \nRu\u017eov\u00e9 sny (Rose Tinted Dreams), Ja milujem, ty miluje\u0161 (I Love, You \nLove\u2026 and Tich\u00e1 rados\u0165 (Quiet Happiness) and Martin \u0160ul\u00edk cast him in \nthe main role in V\u0161etko, \u010do m\u00e1m r\u00e1d (Everything I Like). \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has worked with the SNP Theatre in Martin, at the\n Slovak National Theatre and as artistic director of theatre at the \nJozef Gregor Tajovsk\u00fd Theatre (DJGT) in Zvolen.  In addition to acting, \nhe directs for theatre and television.  At Slovak Television (STV) he \ndirected such films as: Ma\u0161kar\u00e1da (Mascarade), Pod ag\u00e1tmi (Under the \nAcacia Trees) and Zuzka Turanov\u00e1.  Viewers know him best as an \noutstanding film and television actor in: Otec (Father), No\u010dn\u00ed jazdci \n(Night Riders), P\u00e1sla kone na bet\u00f3ne (Concrete Pastures), Hody (Feast), \nLep\u0161ie je by\u0165 bohat\u00fd a zdrav\u00fd ako chudobn\u00fd a chor\u00fd (It\u00b4s Better to Be \nWealthy and Healthy Than Poor and Ill), Peacemaker, Ako div\u00e9 husi  (Wild\n Geese), Z\u00e1chran\u00e1ri (The Rescuers), Kone\u010dn\u00e1 stanica (Terminal Station) \nand Ticho (Silence). \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u013dubo Roman<\/strong> \u2013 businessman<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has been a member of the Nov\u00e1 Sc\u00e9na theatre, \na professor at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts, \nDirector of the Nov\u00e1 Sc\u00e9na theatre and is founder of the West Theatre. \nRoman has been a Member of Parliament, Minister of Culture under the \ngovernment of Jozef Morav\u010d\u00edk and most recently, at the regional level, \nhe was Chairman of the Bratislava local regional administration. At \npresent, he is best-known as a businessperson.  Nonetheless, the public \nsees \u013dubo Roman first and foremost as an actor, who grabbed their \nattention as early as 1958 in a minor role in the film D\u00e1\u017ednik sv\u00e4t\u00e9ho \nPetra (St Peter\u00b4s Umbrella) (V. Pavlovi\u010d).  Later, they saw him in such \nfilms as: My z deviatej A (Nine Graders) (\u0160. Uher), Slnko v sieti  (The \nSun in a Net) (\u0160. Uher), Straten\u00e1 dolina  (The Lost  Lowlands) (M. \n\u0164ap\u00e1k) and Hody (Feast) (A. Lettrich).\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
